The Database page is where you can make snapshot backups before you make any drastic changes, or even just so you can go back in time later on. You can also change the status of connections that have been created and/or changed to tidy up the changes you are tracking.

This is also where you can import and manage User Data – data imported from Cable schedules into your tvCAD Database so it can re-aapear in later cable schedules. For more on this see User Data

Can I access My tvCAD Database?

Yup, all tvCAD Databases are a standard SQLite database. There is no password lockout or anything sinister like that. It’s your data, go ahead and look at it, query it, what ever you like. If you get creative I’d love to hear about it. If you need help, well I could tell you but then I’d have to bill you. 🙂

If you want a software tool to look at the database, DB Browser for SQLite is free and works well, I use it myself. LinqPad is my favourite C# tool, if you’re into that.
